UPDATES & OTHER INFO

Ok.  So the retreat is less than a month off.  Here's an update on what's happening so far:

*************************************************************************************

SAILING

Karen Fyles has organised a sailing experience for those interested.  Children 8+ will get a sailing lesson & a chance to sail.  Younger children can be taken for a cruise by older, more experienced children.  The $100 cost of sailing will be divided up among the participants.  In other words, the more children who get involved, the smaller the cost per child.

If interested, please contact Karen to give her an idea of numbers:  karen@fyles.com.  Participants are asked to bring their own life jackets and wet suits (some will be available at the retreat).

*************************************************************************************

ARCHERY TAG

Sam and Paula-Lee of NZ Bow Sports will be offering games of Archery Tag on the Friday, 2o February.  Cost will be a koha.  Check out their website for details:  http://nzbowsports.co.nz. Participants are asked to fill out a waiver before playing (found on the website).

*************************************************************************************

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES

Other activities on offer are:
- opening and closing circles, women's and men's circles
- morning yoga (anyone keen to lead?)
- felting (offered by the lovely Franziska)
- 1 word:  WEREWOLF
- Friday evening parade & concert (bring your favourite dress-ups, instruments, singing voices & stories)
- Saturday market (set up a "stall" and sell your wares!)
- YOUR ACTIVITY??

*************************************************************************************

MARQUEE

Thanks to Alice, we have use of the big marquee again this year.  2 years ago it proved to be a valuable outdoor space (just ask the teenagers who slept under it the last night of the retreat).  The owner of the marquee is asking for a $100 koha, so if you can, please bring a few extra dollars to go towards this good cause.

*************************************************************************************

FOOD

Please bring your own breakfasts and lunches.  We will have shared dinners - please bring ingredients for each of the dinners and help out with one meal.  There will be a roster for meal sign ups in the kitchen.  We'll use the menu that's worked for previous retreats (unless someone's got a BETTER idea).  NOTE - no need to bring ALL of the following ingredients...just bring those ingredients that your family would normally eat.

Wednesday night - WRAPS
